About OEX Point Loma
Recognized as the only SUP specialty shop located on the water in San Diego, customers visiting OEX can easily test out virtually any board they have in stock. The shop has a large collection of boards on hand from popular brands such as: Starboard, SIC, Quatro, Laird Stand Up, Imagine, JP Australia, Paddle Surf Hawaii, Art in Surf, POP and Boardworks. Their paddle selection features products from Quickblade, Werner and Black Project.
OEX Point Loma is modeled after a typical Southern California surf shop and sells a wide range of paddleboard accessories along with clothing, sandals and sunglasses. In addition to their extensive demo selection, OEX offers rentals and has a small fridge with bottled water and other refreshments for thirsty paddlers. The shop is frequented by a mix of local SUP customers along and a large tourist customer base who stops in to rent paddleboards, kayaks and bicycles during their vacations to America’s Finest City.

OEX Point Loma is surrounded by an endless number of great bars and restaurants. Popular spots among paddlers include Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern, Pizza Nova and Mitch’s Seafood.
Paddling Scene
The shop has a public dock from which anyone can launch their paddleboards directly into America’s Cup Harbor in the San Diego Bay. The bay offers amazing views of downtown San Diego and nearby Coronado. The bay is also home to North Island Naval Air Station and Naval Base San Diego.

OEX Point Loma offers paddlers lessons, to include private training sessions with Chuck Glynn.
