California State Parks Extends Campfire Restrictions at Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area throug

by admin

California State Parks is imposing campfire restrictions due to continued weather conditions, increased fire danger and in cooperation with current local U.S. Forrest Service restrictions at Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area (SRA). Restrictions are in effect immediately through Dec. 31, 2019.

Visitors will not be allowed to use wood or charcoal fires, or grills in any of the campground or day use areas of the SRA. The restriction may be canceled early or extended if weather conditions improve or worsen.

Located in the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest, Silverwood Lake SRA offers a variety of recreational activities such as camping, boating, hiking, bicycling, waterskiing, swimming and fishing.

For more information and updates, visit California State Parks online at www.parks.ca.gov/SilverwoodLake or call the park at (760) 389-2281.
