ALOHA Collection was founded by surfer/private flight attendant Rachael Leina’ala and Kauai native Heather Aiu to store their damp gear in while travelling. Their brand is based in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, but has rich Hawaiian roots. Their mission is to support active lifestyles and spread ALOHA around the world.
Their collection is vast and pouches come in multiple shapes in sizes, keeping you covered on all fronts. Small pouches are ideal for storing wet swimsuits, protecting the other contents of your bag from a constant dampness that is all too familiar among paddlers. Larger pouches are good for stashing dry clothes you plan on keeping dry or even wetsuits after a session. With fun prints and patterns, they make a good clutch, are a stellar storage space for toiletries while in transit, and are the ideal spot to stash your post-workout gear. The longer you have the pouches, the more uses you’ll come up with.
Made from 100% coated Tyvek, pouches are lightweight, soft, and functional. While they are not entirely waterproof, they are splash-proof, meaning your gear will be protected from a light splash or spillage, but not full submersion.
In addition to organizing your gear, ALOHA Collection donates 5% of profits to a Hawaiian conservation organization to help keep Hawaii pristine and beautiful—so you can feel good about your purchase.
When I first heard of ALOHA Collection, I thought it seemed like a fun idea but not something I’d use too often. Upon acquiring a few pouches of my own, I found that they quickly became a staple to my everyday life. They’re lightweight and pack down small, taking up next to no space in my bag.
