I recently had the chance to test out Body Glove’s latest swim and activewear line and in a lot of ways they have done the impossible—their suits combine fashion with function making for the ideal paddling getup. And the fact that a number of the pieces are sustainably made, well that’s just the icing on the cake.
The Spectrum Bikini
While SUP surfing in a bikini may seem like a bold choice, the Spectrum Aro Scoop Bikini Top and the Spectrum Marlee High-Waist Bikini Bottom makes for a dream worthy bikini. Featuring bright, highlighter colors, the suit is an ode to the 80s and looks great. The sports bra style Aro top features a scoop neck, spaghetti straps, a wide bottom band, and removable soft cups. The retro Marlee offers a slightly high-waist making for a flattering fit and the cheeky back coverage shows just enough skin.
Part of Body Glove’s environmentally conscious Mindful collection, the Electra suit is made from recycled ribbed fabric. The one-piece suit is not only flattering but is also incredibly functional. The suit features a square neckline, a high leg, a cross back, cheeky back coverage, and a shelf bra with removable cups, making it ideal for navigating heavy surf or simply cruising the harbor.
Flourish Crossover Outfit
Also part of the Mindful Collection, the Flourish Pulse Shorts and Equalizer Sports Bra are made from recycled materials and include recycled rib inserts. The Flourish Pulse shorts feature an elastic waistband and a 2” inseam and the Equalizer Sports Bra features removable soft cups, elastic lace trim, flat-lock seems, and crisscross back detail. Part of Body’s Gloves crossover collection, both pieces are made from UPF 50+ protective fabric and transition seamlessly from the land to the water.
