About Infinity Surfboard Co.
Family owned since 1970, Infinity is located at the heart of the American stand up paddling community in Dana Point, California. The two-story shop is approximately one mile from the water where paddlers have the option to choose from the protected flat water environment inside the breakwater at Dana Point Harbor or venture “outside” into the scenic beauty of the Pacific Ocean along one of Southern California’s most breathtaking stretches of coastline.
As the name suggests, the Dana Point business offers Infinity boards and prides themselves on their family’s innovative line of custom shapes ranging from monstrous tandem SUPs (Dave Boehne and Slater Trout famously paddled one at the 2016 Hanohano Huki Ocean Challenge in San Diego’s Mission Bay) all the way down the line to zippy short boards – and everything in between. Infinity Surfboard Co. offers stand up paddles from prominent manufactures such as Quickblade, Hippo Stick and Werner. The shop also sells an extensive range of accessories, to include: paddling apparel, fins, traction pads, straps, board and paddle bags and more. The shop’s customer base is an eclectic crowd of paddlers and surfers of all ages, abilities and walks of life from dyed in the wool shredders to an endodontist or two.
Infinity Surfboard Co. does not sell food or drinks on site, but not to worry, there are dozens of coffee shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance or at most a short drive, from the shop. If you are looking for a good place for breakfast after a morning paddle, you may want to try R.J’s Cafe located down the hill towards Dana Point Harbor at: 25001 Dana Point Harbor Dr F120, Dana Point, CA 92629. The cafe is a popular spot among the local paddle community and you may just see a SUP celebrity or two during your visit.
Paddlers visiting Infinity Surfboard Co. have several options when it comes to local paddle spots. Flatwater paddling can be found inside Dana Point Harbor from the popular sandy launch spot at Baby Beach. Baby Beach offers free parking, a rarity in Southern California, and is the hub of the local paddling community. Additional paddling spots include:
- Doheny State Beach: Home of the Pacific Paddle Games and a revolving number of local paddling events.
- San Onofre State Beach: Widely considered to be the best SUP surfing spot on the West Coast.
