OGIO and ECOXGEAR Enable You to Take Your Tech to the Water

OGIO All Elements and ECOXGEAR ECOPEBBLE

Two complementary brands offering unique and rugged products for a range of outdoor activities. The All Elements backpack from OGIO is a stand up paddling ready waterproof dry bag capable of functioning as either a waterproof media bag with the capacity to hold a 15” laptop or as a gear bag. The dry bag contains one external water-resistant pocket and two internal zippered pockets suitable for storing small items in an organized manner. More than just an electronic media pack, the entire laptop and internal pocket section is conveniently unzipped and removed to enable you to use the pack as a stuff sack for more traditional outdoor centric gear.ogio all elements pack, dry bag

SUP Examiner’s Take

I used the OGIO pack and ECOPEBBLE extensively at the 2015 Pacific Paddle Games in Dana Point earlier this month. The dry bag is comfortable with wide straps and the Airflow back panel kept my back cool when trekking around the event site. I had my laptop with me for working on site and did not have any issues with storing it in the bag at the beach environment. The electronic media insert on the OGIO pack is a bright fluorescent yellow which proved to be an excellent color choice for the walls on the inside of the pack as it clearly illuminated the contents and compartments when peering inside for items.

I wore the pack out on the water to test its level of comfort while paddling and it did not overly restrict my range of motion beyond what one would expect to encounter when paddling while wearing a backpack. To make it an expedition ready pack, a whistle integrated into the sternum strap would be a useful design modification, but other than that the pack is travel ready for your next adventure.ecoxgear, ecopebble, waterproof speaker

The ECOPEBBLE speaker from ECOXGEAR is suitably durable to be tossed into a backpack for outdoor activities and the heavy-duty rubber exterior provides a high degree of ding and drop resistance. The speaker has a set of press button controls which allow you to store your smart phone or tablet away in a safe location and still control the volume and other functions. Fully waterproof and submersible, the ECOPEBBLE is easily be mounted on a SUP with a standard screw on mount for paddlers interested in taking their tunes out on the water.

As a pair, I found these were two well thought out and functional products that can quickly enhance any paddler’s outdoor lifestyle. See you on the water!

Disclosure: SUP Examiner received samples of the OGIO All Elements pack and ECOXGEAR ECOPEBBLE speaker for testing, however, the opinions expressed are my own.
